First full day with James and Will

We had a good first day with the boys. We took them to the Intl SOS clinic because they seem to be a bit sick with tugging at ears, runny noses & raspy throats. The doctor said they probably have some viral infection, but no bacterial. She suggested we just give them childrens tylenol & keep an eye on them. We're still getting to know the boys. Because we haven't been with them we don't know about their nap schedule, sleep schedule, eating schedule/amounts or anything so it's just trial and error right now. This morning we discovered that James really, really loves rice cereal. On our first attemt to feed him some he ate 3 bowls full! No wonder he didn't seem satisfied with the milk. They both slept really well last night. Both boys seem to be warming up to us and realizing that we're not going anywhere. We're seeing more smiles from them so this is a blessing.
We are thankful for all the encouragement and support that we've received from all of you. We are also so very grateful to the Lord for the way He continues to strengthen us and provide for us. I'll post some more pics a little later today or tonight.

Dear Randy, Michele, and Caitlyn: the boys are too sweet to be believed. It is remarkable to think of the committed love and care they are beginning to experience. We will pray for quickly-processed paperwork, and a soon return to the rest of the family.

Love and prayers, Jodi

I keep thinking since the orphanage was cold that they must feel really good being in a warmer place. They have no idea what they're in for...they are very blessed little boys! The Dunnewold's have been keeping up and have been praying.

Clearly, the boys are becoming more and more confident as you figure them out. Rice cereal was a GREAT idea! The fact that James is eating is SO EXCITING!

What with William crawling and all, did you leave the outlet protector things and the cabinet latches in a place that the girls could find them and start putting them in place before you get home? Let me know if you want me to pick up a few of the cabinet latches that go over the knobs, and I'll do that before you get home. At least we can secure things like cleaning supplies until you figure out what the boys are getting into, and then it's one less thing to worry about when you're trying to get them settled in.

Adios!

SO MANY praises for a great first day with the new 'Murray-miracles':
*Access to a clinic - nothing serious going on physically.
*Hearing about the tears when they left the orphanage - they were loved there - God's answer to my personal prayer. :)
*James now EATING! Yay!
*More smiles - we can't wait to see those little chubby-cheeks in person.
*A good night's sleep for all of you.
*Possible early return - wouldn't your girls back here love THAT?

Ah - the Lord's lovingkindness endures forever.

With continuing prayers, Kathy

What precious boys! I just discovered your blog & have enjoyed catching up on your travels. Birthing is always exciting, difficult, and unique and yours is all of that plus it will change your lives forever! I'm praying for a safe and peaceful return. What blessings!
